Breathwork Tips

  • Create a place you feel safe and comfortable to practice
  • Lie down with your legs flat on the ground or your knees up toward the ceiling
  • Inhale and exhale deeply through your mouth while relaxing the rest of your body
  • Open and relax your jaw as much as possible
  • Inhale into both your belly and your chest
  • Use connected breath (ie: no pauses after the inhale or exhale and no holding your breath)
  • On the exhale, naturally release your breath instead of pushing or constricting your throat
  • Tingles or some cramping is normal during practice
  • Use sound and movement to enhance the experience
  • Allow any emotions that surface to release freely and without judgment
  • Give yourself time to integrate and rest after the practice
  • Enjoy!
