Don't do this breathwork if:

  • You have a history of seizures, epilepsy or have any other serious medical condition
  • If you are pregnant (while pregnant women can do breathwork but it should be done with supervision)
  • If you have any questions or concerns please ask your doctor

Breathwork Tips

  • Find a place you feel safe and comfortable for this practice
  • Lie down with your legs on the ground or with your knees up
  • Breathe deeply in and out of your mouth, relaxing the rest of your body
  • Relax open up your jaw as much as possible when breathing
  • Inhale into both belly and chest when breathing
  • Use connected breath (ie; no pauses after the inhale or exhale or holding your breath)
  • On the exhale just release your breath, you don't need to push or constrict your throat
  • Tingles or some cramping is normal
  • Use sound and movement to enhance the experience
  • Let any emotions come out freely
  • Take time to integrate and rest after the practice
